The Sum of the Year and the First Chapter of Summer

What a class Globaloria has been. In the past year, I have learned more about computers than I thought I would EVER learn. I have learned how to blog, program and play with Flash, and have really just all around learned invaluable skills in the technical field. A big product of the year is my game. The goal of my game is made make players more Enviromentally concerned. I based the graphics of the game off of classic styles such as Mario and Donkey Kong. the games format is pretty simple. The character is to go through the game and survive situations in which I, as a creator, have included themes such as pollution and litter in order to make the goal and theme of the game more definitive. This is probobly my last post on the blog as it is nearing the end of the year. To those who Have read my blog for the past year, you are either a teacher, a student in the globaloria program, or a person without a life lol(just kidding everyone has a life) Bye.

it didn't work...

today in globaloria i worked on my game, or rather, I tried to work on my game. I tried to program my main character to jump but I could on find tutorials that were in a different format. when i tried to convert the coding to the format that I needed, stuffed got screwed up. maybe next time.

my skills...

so far this year I have probobaly uploaded 7 files to the wiki total, and have done it no times by myself, meaning I have always had help. All in all, my skills on uploading are absolute zip. In fact, today, I tried to upload my game that I have been working on, and couldn't even do it at all. My evaluation is that I need to get better at uploading by have more things to upload(meaning I need to make more progress on my game) oh well. All's well that GOING to end well.

my frustration...

these last few weeks havee been annoying or many reasons. first, we have not had school nearly as much as we should have and it is getting on my nerves. second of all, for the past week and a half we have not had internet where we have class and therefore have fallen WAY behind. all in all, these last few weeks have really set us behind and now i have to worry about whether or not i will have to do my catching up during times when i dont want to, such as spring break and summer.

resolutions...

this year so far in globaloria i have learned what a blog is, created one, created a wiki page, learned about coding, made a minigame, and have started a real game with my team partner, Kacy Workman. I'd say my three resolutions are to finish my game, do it good, and finish the class.

today in globaloria we learned how to make and manipulate onscreen items such as power-ups, money, weapons and other objects you may use, and how to use them.
